Other GEM Registrations

Early GEM Off-line Registration (special cases)

You can request for early GEM off-line registration if you are going for overseas ITP, community service or representation, other official events organised by the Singapore Polytechnic, or on national service in-camp training during the GEM registration period.

You have to fill up the Early GEM Off-line Registration Form and submit it through the school or department sponsoring the event, or through your school GEMCC rep. Consult your personal tutor or class tutor for details.

Deadline: The form must reach GEM Unit at least 2 weeks before semestral examinations.

Late / Additional GEM Registration

If you missed your scheduled GEM registration due to valid reasons or are required to register for additional GEM, you have to fill up the GEM Appeal Form (Part 1 and Part 2A). Hand the form to your personal or class tutor for support before submitting it personally to GEM Unit with the required documents.

Deadline: The form must reach GEM Unit latest by the end of Week 3 of the Semester 1 or Semester 2.

Forced Registration by GEM Unit

GEMs are compulsory. If you still have not registered for a GEM after the Final Registration, the GEM unit may allocate a GEM class to you based on seats availability. The GEM class allocated to you may not be the GEM of your choice. To avoid this, you should not miss your scheduled registration appointments.

Changing GEM Status after Appeal period

This applies only to extenuating circumstances. You should approach your personal/class tutor who will advise the School Course Management Team (CMT) for decision. Such cases must be endorsed by the relevant Acad School's Director before the requests are forwarded to GEM unit.
