GEMs may be quite varied in nature, from modules in the liberal arts (e.g. Love Relations for Life) to modules with a more academic bias (e.g. Genes and You ), or modules which equips you with life skills (e.g. Personal Financial Planning).

However, they all have a degree of academic rigour.
