[Guidelines for 'Individual' Category] [Guidelines for 'Depatment' Category] [SP Green Buddy Award Winners]

The Ministry of the Environment launched the 'Green leaf Award at the 1991 Clean and Green Week campaign and since then, the award is presented annually, during the ' Clean and Green Week', to individuals, youths and organisations who have made outstanding contributions to the preservation of the local environment.

SP Green Committee would like to entrench the position of SP in its suport of the national effort in the Singapore Green Plan.The objectives of this award are to recognise staff, department and students who have, over the one-year period (within the last 12 months), implemented/ suggested effective programs for either the promotion or the implementattion of Geen activities at the Singapore Polytechnic level.The Green Buddy Award will be presented annually, in three categories during the Clean and Green Week celebrations

  • Open to staff and student of SP
  • Outstanding achievements that have been contributed over theyear or will contribute to significant protection, preservation and improvement of the environment in SP will be considered. These could include innovative ideas and projects undertaken within the last 12 months.
  • Contributions could be in the area of energy efficiency, community clean- up, environmental beautification, transportation efficiency, soil conservation, institutional/ community environmental education e.g.'Clear the crockery campaign', ait pollution reduction, wildlife conservatin, public awareness campaign, freshwater protection, waste minimisation, environmental health and sanitation, marine conservation and ISO 14000 achievements.

  • Contribution could be in the form of innovation ideas, promoting environmetal awareness or carrying out activities which lead to significant protection, preservation and improvement of the environment in Singapore Polytechnic.
  • Contributions should be extraordinary efforts over and above the normal course of performing one's duties for which one is remunerated.
  • Contributions should be recent, with particular attention to activities or programmes undertaken within the last 12 months.
