He is well known for his expertise in networks and security and has provided numerous training courses, addressed a variety of conferences and acted as a telecommunications consultant for a number of telcos and other companies. |

| Synopsis: |
This tutorial will address a range of business, technical and performance topics central to the deployment and operation of secure Wireless LANs, PANs, Wireless WANs, WiMAX and Wireless Broadband networks. It will examine the planning and deployment of WLANs including important topics such as cryptographic tools, devices and equipment, mobility, authentication and security issues, security testing and evaluation, performance and quality of service as well as a range of WLAN/3G interoperability and standards issues. It will discuss the new IEEE802.11i (WPA2) security standard including new products and performance issues. Further, it will discuss the results of performance tests on various security architectures and configurations in order to provide useful guidelines for configuration and operation in practice. |
