Eligibility
All full-time secondary school students currently enrolled in any secondary school in Singapore are eligible to submit entries to this competition.

The Task
To design a National Day Souvenir for Secondary school students. Your design should take into consideration the following design criteria:

It has to represent Singapore
It has to celebrate Singapore’s National Day!
It has to be a meaningful and useful souvenir for Secondary school students
It has to be small and easy to manufacture

The Prizes

1st Prize : 1 iPad 2 16GB + Trophy & Certificate WINNING ENTRY WILL BE MANUFACTURED AS NATIONAL DAY GIFT FOR EVERY STUDENT & STAFF IN WINNING SCHOOL

2nd Prize : 1 iPod Touch 8GB + Trophy & Certificate

3rd Prize : S$100 Book voucher + Trophy & Certificate

4th -10th Prize : S$50 Book voucher + Certificate

Timeline

16th February 2012 : Announcement of Competition
(*Extended*) 31st May 2012 : Deadline for submission of Entries
End of June : Notifications of winners

Judging
The competition will be judged by a panel of judges comprising of Lecturers in Diploma in Experience and Product Design. Entries will be assessed for the originality, creativity, appropriateness and effectiveness. Decision of the judging panel is final and will not be subjected to challenge or review. Submitted entries and prototypes will not be returned. Disclaimer: Final winning design may be subjected to changes for manufacturing considerations.

Submission Format
This competition accepts individual work submissions only. There is no limit to the number of entries each individual can submit. Each submission should consist of:

1 A3 Presentation Board

The board should have:
- Design concept drawing
- Design Concept Write-up (stating design inspiration, dimensions, scale, choice of materials & colors clearly)
- Please include the following details at the bottom right corner on the back of each entry:
