On 27th November 2002, about 300 participants gathered at Lecture Theatre 1, Singapore Polytechnic, to listen to trends and technologies of Automation Network. The event was organised by Singapore Polytechnic, and sponsored by Rockwell Automation.
Mr G Meyer, Director of Fernbrook Research, New Zealand was the keynote speaker and the guest speakers were invited from Rockwell Automation Hong Kong, Cisco Systems, Singapore Industrial Automation Association, Precicon Autmation, Omron Electronics and TDS Technologies. Various topics on High Performance Automation Networks were covered.
During the lunch break, about 150 participants visited the Centre for Fieldbus Technology to know more about the facility in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and enjoy live demonstrations. Many of them have also shown interest to collaborate with School of EEE during the visit as they were impressed with our up-to-date technology-driven resources and on-site demonstrations.
The organisers look forward to bigger and better RINCs in the future years.
