Each of us, like jigsaw pieces, has unique characteristics that inevitably fit nicely with a select few and when our individualities combine, we will collectively form a majestic picture. This year’s festival theme is Parts, as our students hold true to their artistic individuality, complementing each other and becoming a part of something bigger than what they as solo artistes can achieve.

In the process of doing so, they discover their rightful place in the grand scheme of things.

Sec 3/4/5 Earthquakes are one of the most devastating natural disasters. Strong earthquakes and earthquake-induced secondary disasters result in catastrophic human suffering and loss of property.

This competition will enable students to discover the importance of Civil Engineering in designing earthquake-resistance buildings and earthquake disaster mitigation.

All levels Students will be trained within 2 days to design aircrafts using Autodesk Inventor software. They will also learn to use Autodesk Fusion 360 and 123-Make software for the production of prototypes using 3-D printing and 2-D Laser Cutting technologies.

All levels A unique race competition offered to Secondary School students to design autonomous SMART Arduino controlled vehicles using their ingenuity, innovativeness and creativity. Participants are encouraged to use principles of mathematics, science and engineering in this fun, hands-on educational activity. On top of engineering skills & design required, participants have to make crucial tactical decisions in racing on a challenging track consisting of slopes, bends and obstacles in the fastest time.

Sec 2/3 Students learn to design, fabricate, simulate and fly a remote-controlled plane in the Aero Lab with the 5-6 channel remote controller. they will also get the chance to climb into the cockpit of a real aircraft, sit in the F1 and other flight simulators, and perhaps even experience 'G' force in a F16 Virtual Reality Simulator.

All levels Students will get an understanding of the digital media pipeline through complete hands-on sessions in integrating video recording from camera, editing, stop-motion animation via a portable green screen, green screen keying and simple audio recording.

Students attending the workshop will work in small groups and are to use provided simple materials to create a short creative commercial of 30secs. This will challenge them to be creative, spontaneous and resourceful in producing the final commercial.

All levels Do you have students who have a passion for music and ‘live’ sound technology. Do they have a passion for songwriting or mixing the sound for a band performing ‘live’? Here’s the chance for them to do what they love and learn more about music and sound technology at the same time!

Your students will get to learn basic skills in songwriting, band performance and ‘live’ sound technology. They will get up-close with lecturers and students studying in the Diploma of Music and Audio Technology, and experience what is it like to be involved in the music industry.
