DARE Alumnus Won Bronze @ SEA Games
Congratulations to Abel Lim, our DARE Alumnus, for clinching an individual bronze in the 50m rifle prone event at the SEA Games in Yangon.
He had qualified for the final in fifth position with 614.3 points, but improved to third in the final, scoring 180.3 points to finish behind Vietnam's Nguyen Than Dat (201.3) and Thailand's Napis Thortungpanich (200.0).
SP Honoured @ TAYO Asean Award 2013
Singapore Polytechnic has been honoured on the ASEAN stage with the Ten Accomplished Youth Organisations in ASEAN Award (TAYO ASEAN). Both Mr Lee Ee Tat (SP Student Counsellor, DSS – above left) and Miss Melissa Law Jia Li (MAE, DBEN student – above centre, wearing SP blazer) represented SP at the award presentation held from 11 to 15 November 2013 at Hanoi, Vietnam.

DMRO Teams Win Again
Congratulations to our DMRO Teams, Thor and SPade, for clinching the first and second alliance awards at FTC 2013 held from 27 to 29 November 2013.

Our state-of-the-art AERO Hub will open in 2014. It will house several operational fixedand rotary-wing aircraft, a full-motion flight simulator completely designed and built by our students and staff, and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Centre for research and development work with the universities and aerospace companies.
The AERO Hub will also be extensively used to jointly teach degree courses in aeronautical and aerospace engineering with the Singapore Institute of Technology, the University of Glasgow and the SIM University.
