Singapore Polytechnic has been honoured on the ASEAN stage with the Ten Accomplished Youth Organisations in ASEAN Award (TAYO ASEAN). Both Mr Lee Ee Tat (SP Student Counsellor, DSS – above left) and Miss Melissa Law Jia Li (MAE, DBEN student – above centre, wearing SP blazer) represented SP at the award presentation held from 11 to 15 November 2013 at Hanoi, Vietnam.

SP Aviation Team - Overall Champion Once Again !
Our SP students have emerged as the overall champion for SAFMC 2013 Cat E (Unconventional) for the second year in a row! The SP Aviation Club submitted two entries this year, Team "SPAVC" and Team "Bonnibelle & Friends". Members of the teams comprise of MAE and EEE students.
"Bonnibelle & Friends" came in first for "Performance" and third for "Creativity" to emerge as the Overall Champion while "SPAVC" was third in "Performance" and "Best Video".
DARE Students Win @ (FAI) F2F Team Race Event
Congratulations! After months of training at Seletar, Team from Singapore Youth Flying Club of Paul Liew (Team Pilot), current DARE Year 2 student, together with his team mate, Richard Ong (Team Mechanic), came in 2nd Runner Up in the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) F2F Team Race Event Category competing with many other Australian Teams in the Western Australian Competition 2013.
Our state-of-the-art AERO Hub will open in 2014. It will house several operational fixedand rotary-wing aircraft, a full-motion flight simulator completely designed and built by our students and staff, and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Centre for research and development work with the universities and aerospace companies.
The AERO Hub will also be extensively used to jointly teach degree courses in aeronautical and aerospace engineering with the Singapore Institute of Technology, the University of Glasgow and the SIM University.
