German Scholarship for DARE Alumnus

Congratulations to Pang Shun Toll, our DARE Alumnus, for receiving a scholarship for renowned German training. He will be alternating between three months' study and three months' work in Germany at Pepperl+Fuchs, a leader in electronic sensors.

He is among the first eight recipients of a scholarship available to polytechnic graduates from this year. They are heading to Germany for three to four years, where they will alternate between semesters of work and study.

LKY-STEP Award For MAE Students

Three SP students were presented with the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading (LKY-Step) award, which recognises ITE and polytechnic graduates who excel in their schoolwork and co-curricular activities.

The three students are Mr Muhammad Asyraf Chumino from the Diploma in Hotel and Leisure Facilities Management, Mr Jeremy Lau Tuck Wei and Mr Shaun Tan Xin Hao from the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Mechatronics & Robotics respectively. All three students opined on their successful academic journey thus far and how ITE has helped to build their skills foundation.

Toy Design Competition 2014 Prize Winners

Around 400 students from 33 secondary schools had the chance to relive their childhood as they learned to design and make their own toys as part of the Toy Design Competition 2014 organized by MAE. Winners of the two categories in the competition received their prizes at a presentation ceremony held on 1st August 2014 at the SP Auditorium.
