Other Schooling Expenses

There is a wide range of bursaries and grants available for students to apply for to defray their living expenses.

1. BURSARIES

SP-Administered Bursaries/ Scholarships/ Grants

± CDC/CCC-Polytechnic Bursary

Next application will open from 17 October - 4 November 2016.

Quantum: $2,000/ Academic Year

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singaporeans
  • Full-time Diploma students
  • Gross monthly household per capita income (PCI)* of $950 and below
  • Not in receipt of the MOE Bursary in the same Academic Year

Application Procedures

  • Please apply online via the Student Portal (Under e-Services > Financial Assistance)
  • Submit the supporting documents listed in the Application Form and Checklist to Student Service Centre (T16 Level 1) during office hours. You may also need the Income Declaration Form. Examples of the required documents are given in the application guide.

Successful applicants will be notified by the Community Centre (CC) nearest to your home regarding the collection of bursary cheque from January / February 2017.

Please ensure your address in Student Portal is accurate. (Applicants who wish to know the actual date of collection may check with the nearest CC)

External Bursaries

± Sivadas-HEB Education Fund

Closing date for application is on 28 September 2016.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview within 2 weeks of the closing date.

The Sivadas-HEB Education Fund invites Hindu students from low-income families pursuing tertiary education to apply for financial assistance to help them meet the cost of their education. Students can apply for either a Tuition Subsidy or an Education Grant.

Tuition Subisdy: Up to 50% of yearly tuition fee

Education Grant: One time award, up to $1500

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singaporean or Singapore PR
  • Hindus
  • Full-time Diploma students
  • PCI not exceeding $1900
