Other Schooling Expenses

There is a wide range of bursaries and grants available for students to apply for to defray their living expenses.

SP-Administered Bursaries/ Scholarships/ Grants

± CDC/CCC-Polytechnic Bursary

Application Period: 16 October - 10 November 2017 (For AY2017/18 Sem 2)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singaporeans
  • Full-time Diploma students
  • Gross monthly household per capita income (PCI*) of $1,000 and below or gross household income (GHI^) of $4,000 and below
  • Not in receipt of the MOE Bursary in the same Academic Year
CDC/CCC-Polytechnic Bursary
$625 or less
$2,500 or less
$626 to $1,000
$2,501 to $4,000

Application Procedures

  • Please apply online via the Student Portal (e-Services > Finance Matters > Apply for FAS)
  • Prepare the supporting documents listed in the Application Form and Checklist. You may need the Income Declaration Form for family members who are self-employed or unemployed.
    Please submit your application to:
    - Student Service Centre (T16 Level 1), 8.00am - 5.30pm

Successful applicants will be notified by the Community Centre (CC) nearest to your home regarding the collection of bursary cheque from February 2018.

Please ensure your address in Student Portal is accurate. (Applicants who wish to know the actual date of collection may check with the nearest CC)

External Bursaries

± South West Tertiary Grant

Application must be submitted to the nearest Community Club (CC) in the South West District from May 2017 - 31 March 2018.

Quantum: $500/ Academic Year

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singapore citizen and resident of the South West District
  • Full-time student
  • Monthly household income of $3,000 or per capita income of $750 and below, whichever is lower; and
  • Deserving students who fall out of the eligibility criteria due to exceptional family circumstances (for example, those with family members who have high medical expenses), may be nominated, subject to CDC's approval for the Grant.

± Sivadas-HEB Education Fund

Application deadline: 20 September 2017

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview within 3 weeks of the closing date.

The Sivadas-HEB Education Fund invites Hindu students from low-income families pursuing tertiary education to apply for financial assistance to help them meet the cost of their education. Students can apply for either a Tuition Subsidy or an Education Grant.

Tuition Subisdy: Up to 50% of yearly tuition fee

Education Grant: One time award, up to $1500

Eligibility Criteria

  • Singaporean or Singapore PR
  • Hindus
  • Full-time Diploma students
  • PCI not exceeding $1900
