DLA, Singapore Polytechnic, School of ABE.
Since my childhood, I had always instilled a passion in drawing, knowing that I would be involved in studies related to creativity and design in the future. The Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) course in Singapore Polytechnic gave me that opportunity; to develop skills and interest in landscape design through lectures, overseas trips, internship and out-of classroom learning visiting projects, and understanding green and sustainable design in the environment around us. Competitions, such as CUBE ’14, gave us the opportunity to meet people from the industry who shared their knowledge and opened our eyes to the world around us.
All these gave me the invaluable chance to understand and appreciate landscape architecture in the real world, applying what I learnt to my projects in DLA with creativity and realism infused. Friendships with peers and lecturers in DLA also created priceless memories which will stay with me through life.
I am proud to be a SP graduate, aiming even higher upon graduation and pursuing my career in landscape architecture in the future ahead.
