From 116 entries, three teams from the Diploma in Business Administration (International Business and Trade option) have been selected as the final 12 teams in the FedEx Express Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge Singapore. The final was held on 30 July at Republic Plaza Tower Club.
The three teams are:
Josephine and Melvin focused on the safety of the elderly in Japan and designed Kokoro no Anshin, an all-in-1 watch with a built-in pulse sensor, GPS, phone chip to keep them safe.
Jia Wei and Vignesh explained how they converted kinetic energy to electric energy and designed rPower, a hybrid personal charger cum calories calculator for the Swiss market.
Qi Ni and Darren, Team Modern Furniture, have presented on how they will launch their space-saving convertible cupboard-bed in Hong Kong.
With the great visual effect and creative advertisement, Lee Qi Ni & Darren Ong have emerged as one of the top three teams in the final. They will represent Singapore for the Regional Fedex final competition in Bangkok this August. They will compete with another 23 teams from other 8 countries such as Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia. We wish them all the best!
