SP Business School Ambassadors

SP Business School Ambassadors (SB Ambassadors) was formed under the name of Student Mentors Academic Relations Team, with the acronym S.M.A.R.T. This was changed to the current SB Ambassadors in 2011.

SB Ambassadors represent the SP Business School and provide support in various outreach and publicity events. Key events which SB Ambassadors support are the annual SP Open house, Poly Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE), SP Experience and Y.E.S. Our main roles include speaking to parents, teachers and secondary school students about the Business School and facilitating secondary school students who come to SP for events.

Core Values

In our term of service, we hope to cultivate the core values of Professionalism, Confidence, Proactiveness and Humility in our members.

Recruitment Activities

SP Open House/JAE

Every year, Singapore Polytechnic holds an Open House to provide potential students with an overview and a better understanding of the various courses available, as well as their future career options. SB Ambassadors assist with course counselling during the Open House by sharing with the public our knowledge of the courses and our own experiences in the SP Business School.

Parents Support Programmes

Parents Forum/Meet the Parents Session

SP Business School also provides channels for parents to learn more about our school as well as to express their concerns regarding SP Business School’s academic and non-academic environment. SB Ambassadors assist in these events by providing manpower support and student perspectives for parents.

 Student Outreach Programmes

Y.E.S Reloaded/ Financial Literacy Event /

SP Business School reaches out to secondary school students through various events. These programmes aim to educate students via experiential learning.  SB Ambassadors act as facilitators to guide students through these activities.

Internal training programmes

We conduct internal training for members in order to cultivate the core values. Examples would be sessions on Personal Selling, training by the Diploma Course Managers on the Diplomas as well as confidence training using high elements.
