Global HR Seminar 2015 & Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) 50th Anniversary Event

Global HR Seminar 2015 & Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) 50th Anniversary Event

10 July 2015

Lau Yee Hao – DHRMP/FT/1A/01

It was an eye-opener for me as it was a good opportunity to expose myself to the real issues that the HRs out there are facing, giving me an idea of the challenges HRs are facing.

44 Year 1 DHRMP students volunteered their services at the Global HR Seminar 2015 & SHRI 50th Anniversary Event on 10 July 2015. Besides the opportunity to attend the seminar on developing employees for future challenges, they helped out in various tasks like ushering, stage assistance, packing and distribution of door gifts.

The Global HR Seminar was held in the morning and was attended by 200 participants. It aimed to showcase best practices in identifying and capturing actionable data and in implementing and using HR analytics to transform that data into meaningful conclusions, enabling organisations to increase innovation and productivity among its workforce. The Guest-of-Honour was Mr Chan Chun Sing, Secretary General, NTUC.

In the evening, SHRI organised their 50th anniversary celebration dinner cum HR Awards Gala Nite to honour distinguished companies and individuals for their accomplishments and achievements in the field of HR. The Guest-of-Honour was Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say.

SHRI was very impressed with our student volunteers who were seen as enthusiastic in helping out, very responsible and proactive.
