HR Day 2010 @ SP
On 12 May 2010, the entire Diploma in Human Resource Management with Psychology (DHRMP) cohort gathered together for a very special, fun-filled event - Human Resource (HR) Day 2010. The HR Day was organised to promote inter-class bonding and allow the new DHRMP cohort to build friendships with their year 2 and year 3 course-mates.
There were a total of 6 teams who competed against each other in various games and activities, such as “Colour Blind”, “Human Foosball”, “Bubbly Captain” and “The Very Lame Game”. The teams also carry their flags, which they designed prior to the event, with pride and came up with creative cheers for the DHRMP Cheer Competition.
Amanda Wong, a year 3 student, said: “The event, jointly organized by the DHRMP Course Management Team and Student Chapter, was a great success. Despite the sweltering weather, it was evident that the students had fun and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was really heart-warming to watch everyone work closely together. The look of the smiles on their faces was truly a moment to remember. Our Deputy Director, Mr. John Foo and our lecturers could also feel the energy and excitement pulsating from the crowd as they watched and cheered from the sides.”
Irwin Harith Bin Ithnin, a first-year student, added: “The event was better than I expect. It was a good start to build bonds and forge close friendship with one another. It has been fun, it has been hot, and it has been tiring... But it’s all worth it!”
The day came to an end with a prize presentation ceremony. More importantly, the day ended with new friendships forged, skills learnt for better teamwork, and many memorable experiences! As Sebastian Tan, a year 2 student, said: “I’ve never seen my course-mates and the freshmen participate with such enthusiasm. I’m glad I am part of this exhilarating DHRMP experience!”
