Job Shadow Program

A group of 40 of Business School students from Diploma in Business Innovation and Design (DBID) and others from the diplomas in Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance and Human Management with Psychology attended a one-day Junior Achievement Job Shadow program with McGraw Hill Financial at the Marina Bay Financial Centre on 21 May 2015. Welcomed by HR Director, Ms Stacey Follon, the students also learnt from Ms Shailaja the background of McGraw Hill Financial and their recommendations on how to improve Interview Techniques and Résumé Writing. Our students found the experience a fruitful one and according to Adam Loh from DBID:

“I felt that job shadowing event really provided helpful insight. This event was very intriguing. As a year 1 student, I am clueless about the working life and this event equips me with some business environment knowledge and the importance of communication skills. This Job Shadow opportunity is really an opportunity not to be missed! We could not have gained the same knowledge from classroom teachings and we really need to experience such things, first-hand in order for us to gain such knowledge”.
