Polytechnic Recruitment Especially for SP Accountancy Students
According to a nationwide survey of 3,700 final-year students and fresh graduates, PwC is the most popular graduate employer among professional services companies in Singapore. This was announced at the Singapore's 100 leading graduate employers awards 2010 on 15 November, where PwC was also named among graduates' favourite top 10 employers in Singapore.
SP is the first local polytechnic to have recruitment collaboration with PwC for its Diploma in Accountancy (DAC) students. A recruitment drive was held in Singapore Polytechnic, where speakers Mr Neo Chye Hwee and Ms Goh Hwee Ang (Directors, PwC) provided much valuable insight on the global career opportunities at PwC available to DAC students upon graduation.
Final year DAC students are entitled to apply to join PwC via the recruitment drive. Successful students receive course sponsorship at ACCA, RMIT or UOL, with the sponsorship covering students’ exam fees and subscription fees. Students will also receive study and exam leave while working and a bonus upon course completion.
It is foreseeable that the demand for accountants will increase in Singapore, given its reputation as an accountancy hub. A career at PwC equips an individual with many valuable skills and traits, giving one a significantly competitive edge in the industry.
