Designing Business. Defining Tomorrow

SC Challenge 2012 was initiated by SPRING Singapore and Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) to elevate the professionalism of the industry and to attract young talents into the diverse field.   The official launch at Unisim in June saw a good turnout with the support of the various polytechnics, with industry sharing by the participating companies. More than 50 teams across the polytechnics eventually signed up and submitted their report for the initial case study. Eventually, after the preliminary and gruelling semi-final rounds, an SB Year 2 DIB (Diploma in International Business) team comprising Mr Bennett Chu, Mr Daniel Chew, Ms Monica Ng and Ms Tan Ying Ru, managed to clinch their way to the finals.   Our DIB team did a marvellous job, even arranging a ‘live’ demonstration of the VOIP ordering system with the European office of its host company, AEX shipping Pte Ltd.  Our SB team impressed all with their suave presentation and their IT-competency, even receiving offers for employment from their host company well ahead of their graduation!
