The Entrepreneurship Bazaar 2010
Venue: The former BIZIT library
Date: 3-5 Feb, 2010.
Time: Bazaar will be opened daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On 3rd February, there will be an Opening Ceremony at 3 p.m. graced by senior officials from Spring Singapore as well as well-known Singapore entrepreneurs.
There will be more than 30 stalls, selling items from handbags and fashion to pet accessories to tidbits. A number of these will be run by not just entrepreneurship students from the School of Business, but also secondary school students taking enterprise development as an ‘O’ level subject under the Applied Subject (AS) programme. These schools include Outram Secondary School and Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary).
SP’s entrepreneurship students have served as mentors to the secondary school students.
There will also be engineering students running stalls in the bazaar. These students are also taking entrepreneurship as a module. This is the first time that this bazaar has seen such diverse mix of participants.
The various stalls will sell a wide variety of items. These include fashion apparel, accessories, cosmetics and makeup services, electronics, toys, interactive games, stationery, candy, tidbits, flowers, and pet accessories.
An opportunity to experience enterprise in a hands-on, involving manner, the students take ownership of everything related to their business - from sourcing of products, to marketing, sales, accounts, etc.
