Exposure for our Entrepreneurs
On the 3rd of December 2016, over 50 industry guests were invited to the School of Business (SB) from Singapore Polytechnic to assess presentations by business students for their final year projects.
Ms. Tan Yen Yen, Director of SB addressing industry guests.
This event was a great opportunity for the students to meet potential clients, or even business partners.
The entrepreneurship students had booths set up, offering products such as ties, hampers and even titbits.

Guests present were given $50 vouchers – in lieu of the corporate gifts often given to guests at events – so they may purchase items from the students at the booths.
Groups like Gryffin, a B2B software business, sourced for ties to sell at this event and all the ties were all sold out. FingerBitez, an F&B business selling bite sized snacks sold over 40 tins of cookies. Most of the guests' spent their time talking to the groups about their businesses, their unique selling points, sharing their experiences as well as advice. Food and drinks were provided as well.
Little Marsketers, a B2B marketing consultancy business, chatting with a guest.
This event was a great opportunity for the groups to showcase and pitch their business ideas to the guests. A representative for every group went up on an elevated open platform for a short business pitch. This allowed the students to "market" their product, at the same time get contacts which could possibly lead to referrals - an essential for every business.

This event was a great success. Not only did the respective groups generate additional revenue, they also networked and gained much insight, giving the entrepreneurs greater exposure to the industry.
