Finals of the SP Business School – AIBI International Pte Ltd

The Finals of the SP Business School – AIBI Marketing Plan Competition 2016 was held on 10 February 2016, 3.30 pm to 6 pm at MLT8. Close to 90 students and guests attended the event.

The top 3 teams selected for the Finals were tasked to develop and present their marketing campaign ideas to AIBI’s Marketing Director, Ms Pauline Kwek, along with other distinguished guests from AIBI and Judges of the Competition. The objectives of their campaigns were to come up with a new AIBI slogan, enhance brand image and to drive purchase intent of AIBI’s new product.

The event started off with a welcome address by Ms Georgina Phua, Director of SP Business School and Senior Director, Business, Infocomm & Media Cluster, Singapore Polytechnic. Ms Phua added that such marketing competitions are organized to “enhance learning and keep up with industry trends”.  This was followed by a speech by the event’s GOH, Ms Pauline Kwek. Ms Kwek extended her gratitude and appreciation towards the students and lecturers for their hard work and perseverance in coming up with the year-long marketing plan for AIBI.

Without further ado, the first group, Team Minions, led by Tan Jia Yu started the ball rolling. Their confidence and interesting presentation slides kept the audience wanting to hearing more of their ideas.

The second group, Team Fitness Ninjas, led by Viroshini took the stage next. The presentation was informative, comprising well-thought research and reasoning which sparked fascination amongst the audiences. The group left a lasting impression with their outstanding presentation.

The final group, Team Da Vinci, ended off their presentation in style with creative ideas proposed for AIBI to implement. The interaction with the audience along with the speakers’ charisma kept the audiences’ glued to the screen.

Upon careful deliberation by the judges, the results were as follows:

 Best TVC: Team Fivesome led by Lam Wei Yi
 Best Researched Team: Team Strivers led by Shahina
 2nd Runner Up: Team Minions led by Tan Jia Yu
 1st Runner Up: Team Fitness Ninjas led by Viroshini
 Champion: Team Da Vinci led by Wang Yu Song

It was a fruitful afternoon where everyone had something to learn from the amazing presentations by all three teams.
