Recently, SPELL invited Ms Karen Ng and her team from Singapore Polytechnic’s Corporate Communications Department to SPELL at Changi Airport Terminal 3 for an introduction to our latest technology, the KAI Square Analytics suite.
A photographer (second from left) also came to SPELL with Karen to help take photographs of SPELL and the students behind it. Organised by the Public Relations subgroup and their supervising lecturer, Mr Kenneth Wong, the media day allowed our students to present how our latest technology is used and what we could do with the statistics gathered from the technology.
Here we have student Li Yi presenting the statistics gathered from the KAI square analytics for the past few weeks.
KAI Square Analytics lets students analyse customer traffic coming in and out of SPELL, the conversion rate of the customers and even where the customers usually walk towards after entering SPELL.
This data allows us to optimally position our products where customers would usually go and also lets us find out whether SPELL is effective in drawing customers into the store.
Our students spoke about the KAI Square Analytics as well as their experience at SPELL and how it has benefitted them in terms of becoming young entrepreneurs. Apart from external media publicity, SP Corporate Communications department provides media publicity for SPELL internally through channels such as the Spirit Magazine and the social media platforms that Singapore Polytechnic uses such as Instagram.
With such technologies and the publicity opportunities provided to our students at SPELL, they not only get to employ the latest tools in their learning, they get experience in dealing with media too. All this is just part of our comprehensive experiential learning programme at Changi Airport.
