The School of Mathematics & Science offers modules in mathematics, computing and sciences for students enrolled in the engineering, technology and business courses. These modules form an important part of many full-time and part-time curriculum.
A sound foundation in mathematics, science and computing together with proficiency in their applications, help students develop analytical, logical thinking, and problem solving skills. These provide an important foundation for students to achieve life-long learning in the future.
We also offer courses such as the Specialist Diploma course in Statistics & Data Mining, Certificate in Engineering Mathematics, and many other short courses to our graduates and the public.

Specialist Diploma in Statistics & Data Mining--> (SSDM). The next run of SSDM is planned for April 2013. More information will be available at a later date.
Preparatory Physics for University: this course aims to strengthen the foundation of polytechnic graduates to prepare them for university education. Participants will also receive the training needed to solve physics problems, building on their knowledge of mathematics and basic calculus.
Preparatory Mathematics for University: This course aims to strengthen the foundation of polytechnics graduates in mathematics to prepare them for university education, particularly in the field of engineering and IT. It is also designed to bridge the gap between the calculus at the polytechnic diploma level and the calculus at the first year university level.
