Meyer, Emma Course Manager and Senior Lecturer, was an academic scholar from the Philippines' state university, University of the Philippines where she earned her Degree on Bachelor of Arts Major in Psychology. She joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts shortly after graduation to build a career on human resources and hotel operations. During her 15-year stint with the global hotel chain, Emma became the youngest Director of Human Resources and she also traveled and trained extensively overseas through cross-exposures, General Management mentoring re-branding and service standards audits. She also held various operational roles including Director of Training and Director of Rooms Operations in Japan at The Sheraton Seagaia Resort and The Westin Tokyo hotel. She also joined Tokyo's first international hotel, The Hilton Tokyo as their first female and foreign Rooms Department Head. Following her investor husband's move to Singapore in 2008, she joined The St Regis Singapore as Director of Human Capabilities prior to joining Singapore Polytechnic in 2010. She joined SP with the strong desire to make a difference in moving the service culture in Singapore through the academe.
Emma is an ardent gourmet and wine fan and enjoys traveling to explore history, arts, culture and languages.
