DEWT & DCEB students won prizes in HDB Drying Clothes Competition 2011

YES!!!! Our DCEB and DEWT students are hungry to solve real-life to help the community at large.

As part of the effort to address the daily issues of HDB dwellers, HDB has initiated a series of activities to engage the public to improve living conditions.

In 2011, HDB’s Building Research Institute organized an open competition on drying clothes in HDB flats. The participants came from diverse backgrounds such as working professionals, engineers, university students and polytechnic students.

After the examinations in September 2011, I inspired some of my students to participate in the HDB Drying Clothes competition with a little hope that they could gain something useful for their learning portfolio in Singapore Polytechnic.

After closing of the competition, 20 proposals were compiled for final selection. Our students managed to take the 2 Merit Prizes which were awarded by Minister of State (MOS) for Trade & Industry, Lee Yi Shyan at KG Chai Chee CC Multi-purpose Hall on 26 February 2012 with details as follows:
