2 DHLFM students won awards at inaugural House Bed-Making Competition

Two final year students from the Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management (DHLFM) took part in the inaugural inter-institute Housekeeping Bed-making Competition organised by ITE College West and the Association of Singapore Housekeepers on 31 July 2013.

The competition saw representatives from 6 different schools competing to make the tidiest bed at the fastest speed. Besides showcasing the professional standards of housekeeping to students, it was also meant for the industry to see what the students were capable of.

DHLFM student, Nur Khairunnisa Bte Mohd Samion, bagged the 2nd prize; winning herself a night’s stay at [email protected] West and dining vouchers at Swissotel The Stamford. The other student, Ong Hui Shan, also managed to qualify for the finals.
