ABE Students Won the Joint Third Prize of the 2010 ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology (AAET) Engineering Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI) Design Competition

A group of seven students from School of ABE won the joint third prize of the 2010 ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology (AAET) Engineering Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI) Design Competition.

 

The AAET ESTI Design Competition, opened for all undergraduates, postgraduates and young engineers, architects, technologists, industrialist of ASEAN countries below 30 years of age, attracted 33 entries from Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia.

The entries were evaluated and judged by the Main Judging Panel comprised of All ASEAN Country Representatives and external experts encompassing architects, civil and structural engineers and quantity surveyors on 13 Feb 2011 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the panel chose the entry from School of ABE, Singapore Polytechnic together with the other two entries from Myanmar and Vietnam respectively to be the joint winner of the 3rd prize of the competition. The prize was presented on 4 Jun 2011 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

The team members are from different courses of School of ABE. They are Vincent Lai, Xin Wenn and Hui Ping from DARCH, Aint Zar and Ei Phyu Phyu from DCEM as well as Joshua and Kwang Yi from DEWT.

 

Congratulations to the seven students for winning the prestigious AAET ESTI joint third prize.
