D.N.Raj received his Bachelor of Science in Management, Southern Illionis University at Carbondale,1987 and his Master of Business Administration, Southern Illinios University at Carbondale, 1990. He joined SP in 1991 and is currently a lecturer in the School of Business of Singapore Polytechnic. His teaching focuses on Quantitative Analysis for Management and IT Applications in Business. During his stay with SP, he was awarded the Bronze Award for leader of the QMIT-B team for project presented at the National IQC Team Excellence Convention 2004. The Singapore Long Service Award for 10 years service. Prior to joining SP, he was Teaching Assistant-Southern Illinois University (USA) from 1988 to 1990 lecturing in Communicating in Business. Financial Controller at Avion Travels Pte.Ltd. (Singapore) from 1979 to 1984. Accounts Assistant at American Express Inter.(Singapore) from 1975 to 1979. Bank teller at United Commercial Bank (Singapore) from 1972 to 1975. His main focus is in Banking, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis and Information Technology in Business. D.N.Raj’s research interests include Plagiarism: The International Student’s Dilemma. He has co-authored and presented the Plagiarism topic at the convention of Educational Integrity: Plagiarism and other perplexities 21-22 November, 2003 at the University of Adelaide, Australia. He has provided consultancy services on expatriate consumer price index may 1997 for Singapore International Chamber of Commerce. He has also been a Supervisor for Student Independent projects. He is a keen sportsman. He is the captain of the Singapore Polytechnic Staff Squash team.
