Randy Ng is a Lecturer with Singapore Polytechnic Business School, Entrepreneurship/Human Resource Section. He specializes in electronic commerce management. He is part of the team that is instrumental in the operations of a learning laboratory, SPELL (Singapore Polytechnic Living Laboratory) at Changi Airport Terminal Three to facilitate hands-on training for entrepreneurship students.
Prior to joining Singapore Polytechnic, Randy worked in the area of IT project management. Together with his wife, he has also successfully set up a franchise in the business of children enrichment. He graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a Degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) (Hons).
Randy is committed to his students and actively engages industry partners with project collaborations to optimize students’ learning. One of the latest initiatives is working with social enterprises. He has successfully worked with a non-government organization (NGO) in Thailand to find a sustainable way to improve the livelihood of a group of villagers. Together with a group of students, a business model was successfully crafted to help the villagers generate supplementary income using their existing skills.
