International students will be admitted to Singapore upon production of a valid passport. On arrival, social visit passes will be issued for an initial stay of two weeks.
Nationals from the following countries may enter Singapore without a visa:
- Hong Kong (British passport)
- New Zealand
- Sri Lanka
- United Kingdom
- United States of America
Nationals from other countries should obtain a visa to enter Singapore but are not required to pay for visa application. Only upon approval of the application, a fee for the issuance of your Student's Pass is required. If a visa is required to enter Singapore, an additional fee for the visa is payable during the collection of Student's Pass from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
Student visa/application must be applied electronically via Student’s Pass Online Application & Registration (SOLAR). For successful candidates who are not in Singapore and require a visa to enter Singapore, Admissions Office will issue a SOLAR number to enable them to apply for a Student Pass from their home country. Those already residing in Singapore and nationals of all other countries will be issued with the SOLAR number and instructions for Student Pass application upon enrolment at Singapore Polytechnic.
|ICA requires a processing fee of $30 for every application submitted to them. This fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application or if application is withdrawn after submission. For submission via Solar, payment can be made by credit/debit card or internet banking.
|A $60 issuance fee for every student’s pass issued and a further $30 multiple-entry visa fee for visa required nationals, where applicable. The fee is payable to ICA when the successful applicant completes the formality to collect the Student’s Pass.
