For Paying Fees

Most of the following schemes cover the Tuition Fees only. The student has to pay Other Fees (eg. registration, examination, miscellaneous, insurance fees) using his/her own funds.

Tuition Grant Scheme

To subsidise students' Full-Time Diploma course fees, the Government of Singapore, through the Ministry of Education (MOE), provides students with the Tuition Grant.

All students who have been admitted into Singapore Polytechnic should apply for the Tuition Grant. Application is done online. Students who do not apply for the Tuition Grant will have to pay full fees.

Other Financial Schemes to Pay Fees
Mendaki Tuition Fee Subsidy Scheme Revamped in 2012!
This Scheme, funded by the Singapore Government and managed by MENDAKI, is started to help Malay students complete tertiary education.
Eligibility Criteria: Singaporean Malay students
Subsidy Quantum:
Per Capita Income (PCI)* Tuition Fee Subsidy
$1,000 and below 100%
$1,001- $1,200 75%
$1,201- $1,500 50%

*Per capita monthly household income is calculated by taking the total monthly household income divided by number of people in the household.

Duration: From time of approval until student completes his/her studies in Polytechnic

CPF Approved Education Scheme (CPF-AES)

Students can borrow from their parents' or spouses' CPF savings (Ordinary Account) to pay for their tuition fees at Singapore Polytechnic.

Eligibility criteria: Full-Time Diploma students

(Students who are non-Singaporeans will need a guarantor)

Quantum: Up to 100% of the tuition fees (excluding other fees)
Duration: From time of approval until student completes his/her studies in Polytechnic, or if the funds in the CPF account being used runs out.

Application is done on the CPF website for a limited time at the beginning of each semester. Student is required to have a Singpass.

Tuition Fee Loan

This scheme, funded by MOE, allows students to take up an interest-free loan for the duration of his/ her studies in Polytechnic. The student needs only to repay the loan after graduation or after leaving the Polytechnic.

Eligibility criteria: All Full-Time Diploma students who are on the Tuition Grant Scheme

(Except students who are sponsored by companies or fully subsidised by MENDAKI)

Loan Quantum: Up to 75% of Tuition Fees

As for the other 25%, you can either pay in cash, apply for the CPF-AES Scheme (above) or take up the MOE Study Loan (below).

Duration: From time of approval until student completes his/her studies in Polytechnic

Application forms are sent to newly enrolled students in their enrolment package. For non-freshmen, application forms are available at the Finance counter and at the Student Service Centre (Block T16 level 1).

MOE Study Loan

This scheme complements the Tuition Fee Loan scheme (above) to cover for a student's tuition fees. On top of that, it allows students to borrow funds for his/her living expenses. The student needs only to repay the loan after graduation or after leaving the Polytechnic.

Eligibility criteria: Singapore or Singapore PR
Loan Quantum: Up to 25% of tuition fees + up to $2,000 for living expenses per year

Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA)
This Scheme allows students to use their PSEA funds to pay for Tuition Tees as well as Other Fees.
Eligibility criteria: Singaporeans or students with Singaporean siblings who have PSEA funds.
Quantum: Total amount of PSEA funds the student or his/her sibling has
