The first 2 days, 8 and 9 July 2013, was the Future China Global Forum (FCGF) at Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore. The last day was the Future China Youth Forum (FCYF) on 10 July 2013 at SMU- Mochtar Riady Auditorium.
The journey through the Future China Global Forum was an amazing experience where we had the opportunity to see elites from different organizations coming together to discuss about global issues and how these countries could solve the problem diplomatically. This platform allowed ministers and prominent members of reputable companies to sit together to talk about issues such as whether China will continue to be the factory of the world. We learned that countries should work towards building trust and confidence in one another to allow disputes to be solved in a diplomatic and peaceful method. We also saw how China developed over the past few years to be where it is today.
It was a privilege for us to participate in Future China Global Forum and it was indeed an eye-opener. We were blessed to be given this rare opportunity to attend the forum and interact with the prominent members of different countries and companies. Being in that social setting, we felt challenged and honored at the same time. To start a conversation with them was not an easy feat, and we had to be mindful of our behaviors. It was our first time to attend such a high profile event and the experience was great. We talked to some guests and they shared with us their valuable experiences which we would treasure for years to come.
