The Crowbar Awards (Bronze in Art Direction)

Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As), the Crowbar Awards is an annual platform for emerging young creatives to showcase their best works and learn from their peers. Established in 2001, it called on students to “grab a crowbar and break into the industry”. It quickly became a rich hunting ground for fresh talent—until today, winners are much sought after by prospective employers.

Liberty Street Safety Competition

DVEMG 2nd year students won 3rd prize of $3000 in this competition that is open to all local and private institutions.

Halloween Horror Nights 2015

Once again our DVEMG whipped out their make up kits to pain and sculpt the scare actors of Halloween Horror Night 2015. A collaboration with Resort World Sentosa, our students are trained for more than a month by some of the best in the business before putting their work on show for the general public.

DVEMG students helps in effects makeup for Universal Studios Singapore - Halloween Horror Nights 2014

During this term break, our second year students from the Diploma in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics (DVEMG) course have been hard at work training to be special effects make-up artists at Resorts World Sentosa, for the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore!

DVEMG students involves in video production and support for SITF ICM INDUSTRY GALA DINNER 2014

SiTF has successful held the ICM Industry Gala Dinner and SiTF Awards Ceremony on 9 October 2014 at Resort World Sentosa. Some 600 industry leaders, professionals and friends attended the event and DVEMG year 3 students have helped provide the necessary visuals on stage!

DVEMG Short Film “Dispher” wins Crowbar 2014 Awards

Congratulations to the "Dishper" team, each of the students get 3 certificates! They have won TWO Bronze Awards - "Cinematography" and "Editing", and Finalist for "Short Film". Well Done!!

Chosen as one of the 24 global finalists to be screened at The Isobel Bader Theatre in Toronto

Diploma in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics (DVEMG) student, Chew Keng Hao’s short film "Phamtasm" has been chosen as one of the 24 global finalists to be screened at The Isobel Bader Theatre in Toronto, Victoria University, Canada on May 23rd 2014!

Keng Hao and his classmate, Charles Looi also won Third Prize at the recent TwentyFour 2014 film competition sponsored by Canon.

DVEMG films awarded "Gold Panda Awards" for Students of 2013 Sichuan TV Festival

Four DVEMG Films (Féerie, Homecoming, Reverie, The Tear Catcher) from Singapore Polytechnic were awarded Official Selection Prize in International "Gold Panda" Awards for Students of 2013 Sichuan TV Festival!

Official Selection Prize is presented to films which stood out of our second round of judging. These films were the candidates of the final judging. The final jurors made their choices on nominations and awards based on the official selections.

DVEMG year 1 students helps produce video for [email protected]

DVEMG year 1 students collaborated and produced a video for [email protected] entitled "People at the heart of design" video.

Their video was shown at the opening of new library at Orchard Gateway and looped throughout the first week.

Xinyu's animation "Kaiser" was the top 5 shortlisted among the 56 entries in Singapore

Window Zoos & Views - Ms.Shandise

In 8-19 May 2013. Billed as Singapore’s first augmented reality exhibition – in which viewers look at their surroundings through an app on their phones, allowing them to see added digital elements in the landscape – Singapore Polytechnic students develop 13 of the augmented reality works shown in this exhibition. Stretching along Orchard Road and around Clarke Quay . Her work was shown in Hong Kong SIGGRAPH 2013.
