Singapore Polytechnic graduates with a Diploma in Interior Design are able to work in:

  • Interior design firms
  • Architectural firms with in-house interior design department
  • Exhibition/stage-set/event design companies
  • Furniture design firms
  • Model-making companies
  • Merchandise organisations with in-house design/display department
  • Consulting firms related to the building industry such as engineering, property management or development companies
  • Other creative services such as computer graphics and animation

He or she could be:

  • An interior designer
  • A project manager for interior works
  • A designer in stage-set, exhibition, merchandise display etc
  • A designer in computer graphics and animation
  • A sales executive for building materials, furniture and furnishings

 

Graduates who have done well for the course may be able to apply for advanced standing to pursue a degree in a university.
