For the second year running, students from the Diploma in Business Innovation and Design have earned the prestigious honour of being the only polytechnic students who were conferred Ministry of National Development Executive Development and Growth Exchange (MND-EDGE) scholarships at a presentation at the MND Auditorium on Monday, 22nd of July 2013 by Minister Khaw Boon Wan. Five first year students were selected through a rigorous process to win a scholarship valued at $15,000 each that would pay towards their school fees for their diploma education at Singapore Polytechnic as well as the cost of their overseas immersion bootcamp and an annual book allowance. This year’s scholars sponsored by the following MND agencies are:
i) Atikah Zainuddin – Council Of Estate Agencies
ii) Liu Mei Kwun, Hannah – Urban Redevelopment Authority
iii) Lee Jiayi, Sheryl – Building & Construction Agency
iv) Muhammad Rehan Mohd Mahadi – Housing Development Board
v) Jasmine Tan Xiu Min– National Parks
This year is another first for URA, BCA and Nparks to confer scholarships to our DBID students and underscore the importance of design thinking professionals in the continued development and growth of our national landscape and community building.
