Ex-Diploma In Banking & Financial Services Student Awarded Prestigious SMU Scholarship
Selene Bay recently graduated with a Diploma in Banking & Financial Services (Banking Option) from the SP Business School. Backed by her stellar academic performance and active CCA involvement, Selene was awarded the prestigious Lee Kong Chian (LKC) Scholarship to pursue a Double Degree in Business Management and Economics at the Singapore Management University.
Recipients of the LKC Scholarship Programme are selected after a rigorous process including a group discussion, presentation to the selection panel, interview by senior undergraduates and a final interview with the Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business.
This is what Selene had to say about her selection experience: “There wasn't much I could do beforehand to prepare for the interview as they did not reveal any details. But I feel the hands-on approach learning style in SP has taught me the skills of team work, taking leadership and the confidence to speak up and present myself well to the judges. Also, in SP, there are less traditional communication barriers and unease between lecturers and students. Interacting with them as equals has given me a more conducive learning environment and has helped shaped me into a more matured individual.”
We wish Selene all the best in her studies at the Singapore Management University!! Well done!!
