The Singapore Polytechnic School of Business Entrepreneurship Seed Fund was launched with a scholarship presentation ceremony on Wednesday, 7 Nov 2012 at the School of Business Conference Room. This very meaningful event for our Entrepreneurship Option students was only made possible with the kindness and generosity from a Singapore Polytechnic alumnus, Mr. Gary Kwang, the owner of technology company Infracomms Pte. Ltd.
The Entrepreneurship Option students hail from both the Diploma in Business Administration course and the Diploma in Business Information Technology course. Having set aside $6,000 as scholarship seed funds sponsored by Infracomms to support our young entrepreneurs, 10 groups from the Entrepreneurship Option gave a presentation several weeks earlier on the business idea that they have planned or already have started on. Of those groups, three were chosen to receive the scholarship.
These are the three groups who received $2,000 each to aid in building their business idea.

That afternoon, the students presented once more about their business and products. This time to our principal, Mr Tan Hang Cheong and senior management staff as well as staff from the School Of Business and the School of Digital Media And Infocomm Technology.
After the presentation and some light refreshments, the groups had a chance to explain their business ideas to management.
Management and staff were able to taste, or have a feel of the sample products brought in by the students.
Everyone present was very proud of the students for their efforts made to become successful young entrepreneurs.
