DMAT-Keele Get Together 2010

Five undergraduate students from the Music Department of Keele University (UK) came for an exchange programme at DMIT, from 22 June to 18 July 2010. This was part of a long standing tie we have with Keele University. The students were sponsored by the British government to undertake a short immersion programme in an overseas institution. They attended lessons with our DMAT students in Digital Video Production Techniques, Recording & Music Techniques, Song Writing and Processes in Asian Music. They also participated in DMAT Master Class Series organized by the school.

They visited National Junior College to get a glimpse of music education in Singapore.

On Friday, 16 Jul 2010, we hosted a farewell party for our overseas friends at our very own ‘Sound Space’, the Music Technology Studio. DMAT students showcased their talents by putting up band performances that won applause from everyone.euro;€ The climax was the joint performance with Keele students, when everyone’s emotion went high. It was through this activity that we get to know everyone better. In fact, so good was the relationship, some of our students brought them to Sentosa the next day, and had a fun and eventful day.
