2011 marked an landmark year for the School of Digital Media and Infocomm Technology (DMIT), with key Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) inked with major industry partners.
Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte Ltd
The top student with overall best academic results from the Diploma in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics (DVEMG), will be awarded the prestigious Sony Singapore Polytechnic I.C.E (Independent Certificate of Excellence) Award, sponsored by Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
The I.C.E award gives this student the chance to fly up to the annual National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, and it comes complete with travel and accommodation.
Also under the agreement, Sony will award the Top Final Year Project group with S$1,000 worth of Sony Style Vouchers.

Students from DMIT will be offered the opportunity to take up the International Level 1 certification issued by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Grand Hainaut of Nord de France (CCINDF).
Under this agreement, students can be admitted to the third year of the five year integrated program leading to the Level 1 certification (equivalent to Masters degree in a regular French University) issued by CCINDF.
Students can also look forward to going on overseas exchange, internship and Master classes offered by DSK Global.

Intellectual Property of Singapore (IPOS)
The Intellectual Property of Singapore (IPOS) recognizes the importance of encouraging secondary school students to learn to create music, and also learning the value of creating and respecting intellectual property.
Through this agreement, DMIT and IPOS will collaborate to execute the annual IP Champion Music Fiesta initiative. This Fiesta will include lecture-style seminars with hands-on workshops for participants, and capped off by a competition for the IP Champion of the Year.
