On 16th January 2014, Year 3 students of the Diploma in Tourism and Resort Management had an exclusive opportunity to visit the Conrad Centennial Singapore Hotel. Visiting the award-winning luxury hotel with its luxurious surroundings was an eye-opening and enjoyable tour for each and every one of us.
From the one-of-a-kind, vibrant award-winning Oscar’s restaurant (it sure lives up to its name!) to the grandeur of the lobby, lounge area, meeting spaces, spa rooms and every other hotel amenity, we were definitely captivated by the glamour of it all. Accompanied with the friendliest and most welcoming team members during the short tour, we definitely gained much more understanding about the hotel and the hotel industry.
The day ended with motivating closing speeches presented by no less than the General Manager Mr. Mark Meaney, his Hotel Manager Mr. HP Cheong and HR Manager Ms Chen Yi Jun where they talked about the hotel and its growing prospects. Simply put, their words were catalysts for our growing interests towards the hospitality and the hotel industry in particular. We definitely left Conrad Centennial with laughter and knowledge!
