SP Business School hosted 59 students from the Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA) programme on Friday 7 February 2014. With the help of 14 DPA seniors, who are currently first year students at SP Business School, the DPA freshmen were shown our facilities which are located on the third level of the school.
The enthusiasm of the seniors could not help but rub off on these freshmen who made their way from LT1A(A) to the top of the hill. The students walked through the gallery of facilities which included the Business Innovation and Design studio, the UOB Kay Hian–SP Dealing Centre, the Human Resource Learning Studio and the Hospitality Learning Hub. The first stop was the Business Innovation and Design studio with its innovative tables and writable walls, designed to inspire an innovative and collaborative culture. The students also heard first hand from existing students at the International Business Active Learning Lab (iBall), a learning space which provides the platforms for students to manage an innovative, integrated curriculum and to tackle challenging business simulations and scenarios. The final stop was the Hilltop Library where students saw the wide array of books and the Hilltop Haven which is located above the Hilltop Library with its colourful social spaces, where students meet for discussions and do their work.
The students enjoyed a friendly lunch with their seniors before proceeding to an afternoon of training. We hope that the tour marks the beginning of a fruitful educational journey with us.
