On 21st June, a group of secondary school teachers spent the afternoon at SP Business School to learn the art and science of forex trading.
Our Senior Lecturer, Christopher Cheong, brought the teachers through a half-day workshop. He introduced the teachers to the fundamentals of forex trading with a view to understanding and forecasting currency trends. They were then given a chance to pit their newly-acquired skills through a trading game conducted in the School’s brand-new teaching facility, the UOB Kay Hian–SP Dealing Centre. This facility, supported with a dealing communication system as well as Thomson Reuters’ financial information system, provided the teachers with a real-life trading environment using real-time market rates, news and price charts.
This event was the third financial workshop run by the SP Business School as part of its outreach efforts to secondary schools.
The SP Business School which offers a wide range of business and finance-related diploma courses, strongly believes in contributing to the general business community through sharing its resources of business knowledge and experience with parties beyond just its students.
