For the second year running, the School of Architecture and the Built Environment brought 38 students from the Diploma in Architecture, Diploma in Civil Engineering with Business and Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management course on a 8-Day Study Tour in United Arab Emirates.

The trip was conducted from 3 to 10 March 2013 and covered two emirates, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The study trip included technical talks and tours to Masdar City, Abu Dhabi International Exhibition and Conference Centre and renowned hotels such as Emirates Palace. The Burj Al Arab and Capital Gate Hyatt Hotel.

The students also had an opportunity to visit the world’s tallest building The Burj Khalifa Tower, the world’s largest indoor amusement park Ferrari World and the Abu Dhabi desert.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the trip and gained invaluable exposure to the Emirati culture.
