Engineering skills needed in next phase of growth

The Straits Times, 19 Sep 2015 At the 30th anniversary alumni dinner of the pioneer Class of 1985 at Nanyang Technological Institute, now known as Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong emphasised the need for engineering expertise in the next phase of nation building in Singapore. He shared how the pioneer batch of graduates, which included MPs and founders of engineering firms, have excelled not only in their field, but went on to apply their training and distinguished themselves in public life.
