The 5 recipients of the Excellence in Arts & Culture Award are as follow:
Chew Rong Ping, Victoria
President of the SP Chinese Orchestra
Victoria is a second year student from the School of Chemical & Life Sciences (DCP/2A/22) and is the President of the SP Chinese Orchestra. A committed and responsible student leader, Victoria led the Chinese Orchestra to achieve the Excellence in Service group award for a second consecutive year.
Ho Wai Kit, Ivan
Project Co-ordinator for the SP Japanese Daiko Drummers
Ivan is a second year student from the School of Business (DBF/2B/06). The Project Co-ordinator for the SP Japanese Daiko Drummers has led the team in numerous performances at SP events.
Keval Singh Mann
President of SP Bagpipers
Keval is a final year student from the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing (DME/3B/02). As President of the newly formed SP Bagpipers, he shows a high level of commitment and was instrumental in raising awareness about the club.
Loo Choo Keng
Arts & Cultural Secretary of the Community Service & Cultural Club
Choo Keng is a second year student from the School of Media and Info-Communications Technology (DMMT/2B/02). The Arts & Cultural Secretary of the Community Service & Cultural Club has not only spearheaded many cultural activities for the club, he has also managed to combine these activities with a community service element.
Tan Kay Chong, Aloysius
President of the Japanese Daiko Drummers
Aloysius is a final year student from the School of Chemical and Life Science (DCP/3A/27). As a president of the Japanese Daiko Drummers, he has been a source of strength for the members and is instrumental in helping to maintain the club's porfile.
