EEE student project 'Mobile Phone Key Board' won the 1st prize in the recent Splash Awards 2006 held at the Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre.
Singapore Polytechnic's School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering students Leong Yew Chee, Loh Shao Hua, Loh Hon Khean's project Mobile Phone Key Board won the first prize in the ITE/Polytechnic category at the recent Splash Awards 2006. It uses the mobile phone as a simple keyboard to remote control a PC/notebook.

Another School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering student, Chua Jie Sheng's project RE PAL won the third prize. It uses mobile phone technology in real estate business and has 3G video streaming and auto appointment acknowledgement features. Splash is a multi-themed inter-school challenge organised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore in conjunction with the National Infocomm Competition.
The objectives of the competition are to bring out the best infocomm talent in students and also to generate greater awareness and excitement among students and the public about Infocomm.
