Experiencing the Diploma in Media and Communication Course in 15 different ways
Close to 200 secondary school students attended Communication 101, an outreach event organised by second-year Diploma in Media and Communication (DMC) students to promote the DMC course on 23 January, Tuesday. The participants learnt about the course and what it takes to be a communication specialist by engaging in highly interactive activities ranging from investigative reporting of murder mysteries, to creating advertisements, and pitching business ideas. The event was part of the assessment requirements for Media and Promotional Publicity, a compulsory module for DMC students. The objective of the assessment is to provide the DMC students with hands-on experience in conceptualizing, planning, managing and evaluating an event.
