Singapore Polytechnic is the only polytechnic that offers the Diploma in Optometry (S67) course. This course from the School of Chemical & Life Sciences is increasing the intake from 60 to 100 in the coming Joint Admission Exercise. This is in response to the strong demand from potential candidates over the years for this course, and reflects the 100% employability of all graduates with healthy remuneration. In 2006, Ministry of Health announced that the Diploma in Optometry will be the basic entry qualification to legally becoming an optometrist in Singapore. This will greatly boost the demand for the profession of optometry.
Interested applicants are invited to speak with Optometry lecturers during the Joint Admissions Exercise.
