A scent for Singapore
Ascendas, a member of Ascendas-Singbridge Group, collaborated with SP to embark on a project that support and inspire young talents in creating an air fragrance to commemorate Singapore’s 50 years of success. A team of four Perfumery & Cosmetic Science (DPCS) graduates, under the guidance of Ms Jessie Tong, put in their heart and soul to arrive at a meaningful and fruitful outcome. They have worked assiduously outside their curriculum hours to create and evaluate the scents. Amidst the challenges encountered in the creation process and making sense of the feedback from their family members and friends, the graduates had come up with four uniquely Singapore scents – woody, minty, citrus and flora. Each scent represents the different timeline in Singapore’s history. The refreshing scent won the hearts of Ascendas and was subsequently commercialised as a corporate gift in appreciation of their clienteles’ support.

“Working on this project has been an eye opening experience. It is a challenging yet fulfilling journey that allows us to express our creativity to the fullest and experience the creation from start to finish. We are thankful to Ascendas, lecturers and staff of SP for believing in us and making this possible.”
