Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) Open to 2010 GCE 'O' level holders, JAE begins the same day as the release of the GCE "O" Level results.

Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) Open to Higher NITEC / ITC / CBS, NITEC / NTC2, SPM and STPM holders.

Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE) Open to 2010 GCE 'O' level holders with special aptitude and talents for admission, and who are eligible to participate in the JAE.

Direct Admissions Exercise(DAE) Open to ex-polytechnic students, applicants who do not meet the English Language requirement, and applicants with foreign qualifications other than the Malaysian SPM or STPM.

Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA) Final year secondary school students can apply for a place in SP even before sitting for their GCE 'O' Level exams.
